FAQ

1)      Are exchange students able to take part in this competition?

If you are a foreign exchange student, you are more than welcome to join the competition. However, you would not be able manage the FSM Undergraduate Investment Portfolio (FSM-UIP) should your team emerge as the winner for the School Finals.

If you are a local student currently doing an overseas exchange, you may not be able to participate as there are presentation rounds for both the School Finals and Grand Finals.

2)      I have little knowledge on fund management; should I take part in this competition?

Yes, you are strongly encouraged to take part in this competition because:

  1. Clear marking criteria will be given to participants to guide you through the report writing;
  2. The level of difficulty for the preliminary round is lower, before it builds up to the Grand Finals;
  3. ‘A Talk on Fund Management’ has been scheduled on Tuesday, 19 Feb, to help you gain a better knowledge of this industry and for this competition;
