He has a preference for stocks over other instruments. He believes in fundamental analysis, but is more adept at spotting overvalued stocks than at finding undervalued stocks. He likes sweet food, and hates sports and large crowds. His favorite dota heroes are the Bane Elemental and Stealth Assassin.

Kwan Sik Hin (Justin)
Justin is a 2nd year Accountancy and Business student specializing in Banking and Finance. He uses a mixture of both fundamental and technical analysis. Using FA, he would try to look at the industry that he is interested in investing and then try and scan for those with strong growth in EPS. And with TA, he would determine his entry timing. Despite there has been a lot of theory talking about buying near the breakout of a resistance, personally he is not too comfortable with doing that unless there is very strong buying volume. He prefers to buy near support with strong buying volume. Most of the time, he does range trading, fix his exit point and adhere to it. And he does not have the habit of queuing, so he will normally jump in at the bid or sell price at the right moment.

Luo Yuxian
Yuxian is a 2nd year Accountancy student with an avid interest in investments and socio-political systems. Currently on exchange in Canada for the fall semester, he loves interacting and learning from people of different discipline and culture. Joining the SMIF also provided him an excellent avenue to learn and be exposed to different views and thinkings. On a lighter note, he is a talented fellow, ranging from probably the world’s cheapest drunk to being the worse-ever bathroom singer. One thing he can’t do, though, is to score As in exams.
