Providend Personal Finance Workshop

On 20th January 2010, a workshop on personal saving and investing was conducted to a group of NTU students by our distinguished speaker, Christopher Tan, the CEO and co-founder of Providend Limited. The objective of the Providend Finance workshop is to primarily inculcate the rising importance of financial and investment planning to our fellow peers especially so after the financial maelstrom, which had left many people penniless as a result. The workshop was well-received by our students and several enthused the usefulness and relevance of the personal finance strategies taught during the workshop. In addition, students who had no prior knowledge to financial markets and investing, had also responded favorably that the workshop has rejuvenated their perspective on investing and helped them to discriminate between various investment products with a more discerning eye. The workshop concluded on a positive note with a short networking session that followed thereafter.
