A forex education programme and contest
Aims
- The FXUNI Education Programme aims to nurture the next generation of FX investors, with a view to grow FX as an asset class.
- The goal is to equip students with the tools and knowledge to effectively manage their FX portfolio.
- Expose students to the Foreign Exchange World and make them aware of the sweeping changes that are currently taking place in this sphere.
Objectives
The participants will:
- Understand the FX Market – FX market background and key concepts
- Margin Trading
- Trading Strategies
- Trading Best Practices
Process
- The programme will be taught using a combination of online material and webinars.
- All education materials are fully available online.
- Access to a Live Demo Trading Environment where participants can trade, place orders, view market data, news and access charts.
- In addition, an FXContest will be held and each participant will be provided with a demo account that they will use to trade. Trading will run for 4 weeks after which results will be announced.
Participants will be awarded a Statement of Attainment if they meet the following:
- Full webinar attendance
- Participation in FX Contest – for testing out of key concepts

| Internships |
| Top 20 traders (based on portfolio return) will be invited for an interview with OANDA Asia Pacific to vie for an internship position. Out of the 20, OAP will select 1-2 interns |
| General |
All participants will receive a participation gift. Weekly challenges prizes in store for weekly challenge winners. |

Score
- The contest will calculate each contestant’s “% Portfolio Return”.
- The top trader will be the trader with the highest portfolio return.
Keynotes
- The contest allows a leverage setting of 10:1 to 50:1
- The results include interest paid/earned on balances and positions
- Minimum of 10 trades is required.
- Students can only hold a single account for the contest
Disentitlement
OANDA has sole discretion to disqualify any contestant found in violation of the rules of the contest or applying inappropriate trading strategies.

"POEMS STOCK CHALLENGE 2009 - GOOD JOB TEAM IIC"

Team IIC has done well in winning 3 of the top 15 spots in the 2009 POEMS Stock Challenge.
Our representatives, Joshua Tan, Shi Yuan and Wang Yi, came in 5th, 8th and 14th respectively amongst a field of over 2000 participants. Congratulations to our winners, and we look forward to even better results from future competitions!
