Christopher Lee is an in-house counsel with Portcullis TrustNet (Singapore) Pte Ltd. He is a graduate of the National University of Singapore and holds an LLM from King’s College, London. He was admitted as an Advocate and Solicitor in Singapore. He was a lecturer at the Faculty of Law at the National University of Singapore from 1989 to 1996, practiced in local and offshore law firms and held positions as Regional and Group Legal Counsel at multinational financial institutions.

Professor Gunter Dufey or "GD" as he is known by his friends and colleagues, is Professor Emeritus of Corporate Strategy, International Business and Finance of The University of Michigan Ross School in Ann Arbor (USA) and Professorial Fellow in Banking and Finance at Nanyang Business School at Nanyang Technological University, Singapore. Prior to settling in Singapore, he served as faculty in many other prestigious institutions such as the University of Michigan (Ann Arbor), Stanford Graduate School of Business, Palo Alto, CA, Universitaet des Saarlandes and WHU Koblenz among others. He has published extensively.

Parallel to his academic career, Professor Dufey worked for extended periods with a number of multinational companies and government agencies such as Dow Chemical, Texas Instruments, the US Department of the Treasury, The Ministry of Finance - FAIR in Tokyo and the Pacific Rim Bankers Program, Seattle. He continues to serve on the Boards of Guinness/Atkinson in the USA and several subsidiaries of GMAC, Detroit and Toronto. He also participates in managing the portfolios of several foundations. From 09/01 to 02/03 he was employed with McKinsey and Co. in Singapore, supporting the firm’s Corporate Governance practice in Asia. Professor Dufey is also a member of Singapore Institute of Directors and currently serves on the advisory board of Corporate Governance and Financial Reporting Centre, National University of Singapore Business School. His professional interests include Global Financial Markets, Corporate Governance and Wealth Management.

Jennifer Tay Ms. Jennifer Tay

Jennifer Tay is currently Citi Private Bank’s Head of Investment Advisory & Sales Unit for the Asia Pacific region, with Investments Counsellors based in Singapore reporting into her.

She manages a team of more than 21 Investment Counsellors who work closely with private bankers and their clients on a strategic approach to their portfolio investments in the area of managed investments and capital markets, providing clients with holistic solutions.

As a Senior Portfolio Counsellor for the Asia Pacific region, she also advises clients directly on asset allocation and portfolio structuring.

Prior to this appointment, Jennifer served as a Portfolio Counsellor focusing on the Indonesian market and also as Head of Discretionary Products Management for the private bank in the Asia Pacific and Middle East region. Her experience with the private bank’s Investments team includes product structuring of derivatives-linked yield enhancement products and product management for Alternative Investments.

Jennifer has over two decades of banking experience. She has been with Citi Private Bank since 1997, and she joined Citi’s Global Corporate & Institutional Bank in 1994.

Prior to joining Citi, Jennifer began her career in corporate banking & structured trade finance (commodities) at Standard Chartered Bank and the Overseas-Chinese Banking Corporation in Singapore.

Jennifer graduated with a Bachelor of Business Administration (Second Upper Class Honours) from the National University of Singapore.


Justin Ong Mr. Justin Ong

Justin Ong is a Partner with PricewaterhouseCoopers Singapore, and leads the Wealth Management Practice where he is responsible for servicing organisations in the private banking and asset management industry in Singapore. Justin has more than 17 years of experience, including two years spent in London working primarily on fund management clients.

As the Wealth Management leader, Justin leads the Asian portion of the well regarded PricewaterhouseCoopers Global Private Banking Survey. In this regard, he has provided industry briefings and carried out advisory projects for a number of private banks in Singapore, Hong Kong and Switzerland. His dealings with private banks includes business model and strategy reviews, human capital assessments, performance improvement reviews, regulatory advice and compliance training, among others. He has also been invited to speak at a number of private banking/wealth management conferences, including the International Private Banking Council Meeting and also helps private banks in running thought leadership sessions at management offsites and forums. Justin also has extensive experience in dealing with specific issues in the asset management industry and sits on the Investment Management Association of Singapore’s Regulatory Committee as well as Risk & Performance Committee, and is also an advisor to the CFA Institute, serving on the Certificate in Investment Performance Measurement Examination Review Panel.

Justin has a Bachelor of Economics degree from Monash University in Australia, and is a full member of the Australian Society of Certified Practising Accountants as well as a practising member of the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Singapore. He also holds the Investment Management Certificate (IMRO Full Version) issued by the Institute of Investment Management and Research in UK.


Leonardo Drago Mr. Leonardo Drago

Thanks to his father, Leonardo spent his precocious childhood devising financial strategies on how to exponentially grow his pocket allowance. This challenge soon inculcated a love and appreciation of investments for him.

Leonardo made his first break into private banking at Banque Nationale de Paris (BNP) Hong Kong. He then moved to Credit Suisse in Singapore, taking on the role of deputy team head in the bank’s first Senior Client Partner team, where he stayed until his co-founding of AL Wealth Partners.

His accomplishments include managing a diversified portfolio of over US$1 billion in global investments specializing in macro-economic strategies, derivatives, foreign exchange trading, stock picking models and multiple asset classes. This portfolio has achieved an average double-digit return since 2001 targeting absolute returns in different economic and market environments.

Leonardo is also a guest lecturer for several higher learning institutions in Asia and also frequent speakers in investment & banking forums, including the Singapore Management University (SMU) where he runs wealth management seminars for banking professionals.

Mark Laudi is an award-winning journalist and broadcaster, well-known to radio and television audiences in the Asia Pacific.

During his seven year career at CNBC Asia Pacific, he held almost every position in the newsroom, including Producer and Australia Editor, and in front of the camera as Stock Reporter, Anchor and Field Reporter. At age 28, Mark launched CNBC Australia in Sydney as Bureau Chief.

In Singapore, he was a member of the inaugural production and presentation team of English-language talk radio station 938LIVE.

He started his media career at age 21, becoming Australia's youngest radio curent affairs show host at ABC Radio.

Having spent many years in South Africa, Germany and Australia, Mark has called Singapore home since 1997.

Since leaving CNBC he became Managing Director of Hong Bao Media (Holdings) Pte Ltd, a web television production company which produces sponsored news content for branding, consumer education, investor relations, internal communications and events coverage, and syndicates these via the internet, email, mobile and out-of-home screens.

He is also a sought-after speaker, emcee and panel moderator at seminars and conferences.

Michael T Darwyne is an in-house counsel with Portcullis Trust (Singapore) Ltd. He read law at Oxford University (BA, BCL) and received an LLM from the Harvard Law School. He was called to the English Bar (Inner Temple) in 1969. He is admitted as a barrister in Hong Kong, as a barrister & solicitor in Fiji and as an attorney in New York. He speaks regularly at seminars and conferences on issues relating to trusts and foundations.

Rajesh Malkani joined Standard Chartered in October, 2006 as Global Head of Sales & Business Development, Private Banking and moved to his current position as Head South East Asia – Private Banking on 1st March, 2008.

Prior to joining Standard Chartered, Rajesh was Head of Marketing SEA for BNP Paribas Private Bank where he spent the last ten years in various sales and leadership positions. Rajesh was a member of various management committees including Credit and Compliance and actively participated in design and implementation of policies, processes and systems. Before joining BNP Paribas, he was with UBS Private Banking in Hong Kong. Rajesh was based in Hong Kong for thirteen years prior to moving to Singapore in early 2005.

Rajesh started his career with ANZ Grindlays Bank in India, in 1987 as a Management Trainee, after completing his MBA.

Rajesh, of Indian origin, is a citizen of Singapore. He is married with two daughters and loves golf, auto mechanics and travel for leisure.

Steve Davies is the CEO & Founder of Javelin Wealth Management, a Singapore licensed wealth management and financial planning advisory business. The company was set up in early 2004 and offers tailored wealth management advice to individual and corporate investors in Asia and beyond.

Prior to setting up Javelin Wealth Management, Steve worked for 18 years in institutional equity stockbroking/investment banking, and was based variously in Hong Kong, Malaysia, Singapore and London. During this time he participated at a senior level in the successful management buy out of the Asian operations of Hoare Govett Asia Securities which was subsequently sold to ABN Amro Bank in 1995.

Steve is a Singapore licensed Financial Adviser Representative, a Certified Financial PlannerCM, and is a board member of the Financial Planning Association of Singapore (FPAS). He holds masters degrees from London Business School and the University of Edinburgh. Steve makes regular appearances on Bloomberg TV and CNBC and writes occasional columns for the Business Times in Singapore.

Steve is aged 47, is a British citizen and Singapore Permanent Resident; he is married and lives in Singapore with his wife and two children.
